  • Faculty Senate Resolution on the Writing and Design Lab:

“The College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Senate has had numerous discussions about the need for support of student writing on campus, and we recently met with Travis DuBose, Director of the Writing and Design Lab (WDL). The WDL, which provides students with consultations at any stage of the writing process and trains consultants with the current writing pedagogy, is an important resource for students at Rutgers-Camden. However, the WDL is currently funded only by the English Department and thus does not have the resources to serve all students. Given that this resource can and should serve all of the College of Arts and Sciences, we would like to advocate for College-level financial support for the WDL. We believe the WDL plays a crucial role in ensuring students success in writing.”
