December 11, 2017
The meeting was called to order at approximately 11:35 a.m., with FASC Senate Vice President Jim Brown presiding. There are 33 Senators, including five senators-at-large. Sixteen senators were present. A quorum was NOT met, and therefore no motions or actions were taken.
- Jim Brown suggested taking an online vote for the courses presented by the APC for approval. He will confirm with Julie Still how to proceed and info will be posted on the Sakai page.

- New Business: Discussion about the new “policy” of having a minimum of 10 students to run a course and what is known about the policy. Can the Senate weigh-in on the development of this policy? Departments with few student majors are concerned that it will be a struggle to offer courses needed for the student-majors if the department is held to this policy/minimum requirement. The Senators would like to invite a representative from the Deans Office to the next meeting to explain the policy, its origin and what it is to accomplish.
